Med Ninjas is seeking a Physiatry (PM&R) Physician for short term locum coverage at an inpatient facility located in Bay City, MI.

The Physician must be available for the complete coverage blocks from November 23–27, 2026, and November 30–December 4, 2026.

This assignment includes inpatient rehabilitation coverage, onsite hospital rounding and consultations, face-to-face patient care, and scheduled interdisciplinary team conferences, with no call or weekend coverage.

Position Details:
Patient Population: 100% adult rehabilitation
Setting: Inpatient rehabilitation unit, 20 beds
Responsibilities: Onsite rounding, consultations, face-to-face patient care within 24 hours of admission, and scheduled team conferences
Required Procedures: Pre-admission screening review and documentation per CMS guidelines, prescribing narcotics, discharge summaries and medication reconciliation, weekly care plan documentation, post-admission evaluations, face-to-face visits, IPOCS, and PAPE/H&P
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Interdisciplinary rehabilitation team; 24-hour lab and anesthesia department available
Days Per Month: Weekday coverage during the specified dates
On-Call/Weekends: No call or weekend coverage

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Physiatry (PM&R); board eligible is not accepted
• Active Michigan medical license required at the time of name clear; IMLC is not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Local provider required, with a clean background and availability for all specified dates
