The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Physiatrist to join our team. Excellent general physiatrist skills and a great collaborator. The ideal candidates will be experienced in general outpatient neurorehabilitation including peripheral joint injections, trigger point injections, electromyography, and botulinum toxin injection. Duties will include directing coordinated referrals for Physical and Occupational therapy, Chiropractic care, and complementary and alternative treatment modalities. Additional specialized areas are available for candidates with expertise in inpatient rehabilitation, TBI clinics, and pain management. Specialty training, fellowship completion, or additional board certifications are desired.

Job Responsibilities

- Daily work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm;
- 4-5 days per week in clinic
- Inpatient consultation service available if desired by candidate
- No call coverage required.

Qualifications

- REQUIREMENTS –
o MD/DO/MBBS + ECFMG Certificate.
o Completion of an ACGME accredited residency program associated with the field to which you are hired; or 3 years full time practice experience in the field to which you are hired.
o Board Eligible in Physical Medicine
o Selective Service Registration is for males born after 12/31/1959.
o Proficient in written and spoken English.
o Non ACGME residencies, must provide ECFMG and proof of 5 years residency, fellowship, and/or relevant practice experience in the USA in the field you are applying.
- PREFERENCES
o U.S. Citizenship; in accordance with VA Policy, non-citizens may be considered if no qualified US citizens are selected.
o Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehab
o Resident and Fellows Teaching experience
o Most recent past 3 years providing Physiatry service in a United States health system.

Working Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Earn over 55 days off per year, essentially only working 208 days per year.
