She Recruits is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a respected physician-led healthcare organization seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician or an Internal Medicine Physician with inpatient rehabilitation experience to serve as Medical Director of an established inpatient rehabilitation program in Lake City, Florida.

Position Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical management for inpatient rehabilitation patients.
- Diagnose and manage medically complex rehabilitation patients.
- Collaborate closely with Internal Medicine physicians, nursing, therapy, case management, and other clinical specialists.
- Lead interdisciplinary care planning to maximize patient outcomes.
- Oversee quality initiatives and support rehabilitation program excellence.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.
- Foster a collaborative, patient-centered culture focused on exceptional clinical outcomes.
Qualifications
Required
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
OR
- Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician with Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) experience
- Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Eligible for Florida Controlled Substance Registration
- Strong communication and leadership skills
