A health services organization in Westchester County is seeking a PMR Physician to join their outpatient medical practice in White Plains on a Part-time basis. This role focuses on providing patient-centered physical medicine and rehabilitation care for a diverse outpatient population with musculoskeletal and pain-related conditions.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Part-time (1 to 2 days per week)
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Outpatient
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain and rehabilitation needs
- Provide care for patients with work-related injuries, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions
- Perform or oversee electrodiagnostic testing, including EMG and NCV studies
- Administer joint and soft tissue injections as part of outpatient treatment plans
- Document range of motion findings and develop appropriate treatment recommendations
Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation through ABPMR
- Experience with Joint and Soft Tissue Injections
- Experience writing prescriptions
Desired Skills:
- Experience in an Outpatient Musculoskeletal practice
- Competency in performing or monitoring EMG and NCV testing
- Experience documenting range of motion with a handheld goniometer
