Inpatient Rehabilitation Physiatrist
Freeman Health System | Joplin, Missouri
Freeman Health System is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physiatrist (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) to join our inpatient rehabilitation program in Joplin, Missouri. This is an opportunity to practice in a collaborative environment focused on restoring function, improving quality of life, and helping patients return to their highest level of independence.
As a member of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, you will provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, debility, and other complex medical diagnoses requiring intensive rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
- Potential Medical Directorship
- Manage and oversee care of inpatient rehabilitation patients
- Perform admission evaluations and ongoing patient assessments
- Develop individualized rehabilitation plans of care
- Lead interdisciplinary rehabilitation team meetings
- Coordinate care with consulting specialists and primary physicians
- Support quality improvement and program growth initiatives
- Ensure compliance with inpatient rehabilitation regulations and standards
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Eligible for Missouri medical licensure
- Strong commitment to patient-centered rehabilitation care
- Medical director experience welcomed but not required
