A confidential healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to serve as Medical Director of an inpatient rehabilitation program in Southern Ohio.
This opportunity combines an active inpatient PM&R practice with physician leadership responsibilities. The Medical Director will help guide clinical quality, collaborate with executive and multidisciplinary teams, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to the continued growth of the rehabilitation program.
This is an opportunity for an experienced PM&R physician who wants to combine patient care, physician leadership, and program development in a collaborative inpatient rehabilitation environment.

Job Responsibilities
Performing admission evaluations, histories, and physical examinations
Managing daily inpatient rounds
Developing individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
Conducting functional and neuromuscular assessments
Managing pain, spasticity, and medically complex rehabilitation patients
Performing EMG/NCS studies and diagnostic or therapeutic injections, when applicable
Preventing and managing secondary rehabilitation complications
Collaborating with consulting physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
Maintaining timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership and support operational excellence by:
Leading interdisciplinary rehabilitation team conferences
Partnering with executive leadership on clinical and operational initiatives
Developing and implementing clinical policies and best practices
Supporting quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Supporting compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and IRF standards
Mentoring physicians and multidisciplinary clinical staff
Assisting with physician recruitment, onboarding, and retention
Supporting strategic program growth and community outreach
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Completion of an accredited PM&R residency program
Currently licensed or eligible for medical licensure in Ohio
DEA registration or ability to obtain
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Demonstrated interest in patient-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation care
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
