An orthopedic center in the Vestal, NY area needs inpatient PM&R coverage across three non-continuous blocks: 11/11-11/14, 11/23-11/27, and 12/14-12/18, 14 working days total over a 6-week span. $275/hour. No call, no OT. This covers the sole PM&R physician's PTO with no internal backup on the inpatient rehab floor.

Job Responsibilities

Manage an inpatient rehab floor, average daily census 12-14, adult and geriatric patients. Diagnose and manage conditions, perform exams, order and interpret diagnostics, build treatment plans, prescribe, document in Epic, participate in compliance/QI and care team meetings, and communicate with patients and families. Not required to supervise other providers. Work alongside RNs and the DON on the floor.

Qualifications

Board certified required (board eligible not accepted). Fellowship required. MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Active NY license required, state-licensed candidates preferred. DEA registration or eligibility required. BLS required (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) prior to start. 1-3 years of experience desired. Credentialing runs approximately 2 weeks, notably fast.

Working Hours

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, days only, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week during active coverage windows. Paid lunch built into the schedule. No weekends, no nights, no call.
