A leading inpatient rehabilitation organization is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to serve as Medical Director of a premier rehabilitation hospital in Aiken, SC.

Job Responsibilities
Perform patient admission evaluations, histories, and physical examinations
Manage daily inpatient rehabilitation rounds
Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans
Evaluate functional and neuromuscular conditions
Manage medically complex rehabilitation patients
Treat pain, spasticity, and related rehabilitation conditions
Perform EMG/NCS studies and injections when applicable
Collaborate with consulting physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Prevent secondary complications associated with rehabilitation conditions
Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
Qualifications
✅ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
✅ Completion of accredited PM&R residency program
✅ Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure
✅ DEA registration or ability to obtain
✅ Strong communication and leadership skills
✅ Commitment to evidence-based rehabilitation care
Preferred:
Previous Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, or physician leadership experience
2+ years of inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) experience
Experience leading interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams
Knowledge of:
CMS regulations
IRF-PAI documentation
Joint Commission standards
Quality improvement metrics
Additional experience with:
EMG/NCS
Ultrasound-guided injections
Botox injections
Spasticity management
Musculoskeletal medicine
