Interventional Pain Physician Opportunity – Houston Area
A growing outpatient pain management practice in the Houston area is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Pain Physician to join its team.
This opportunity is ideal for a fellowship-trained Pain Medicine physician who enjoys delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care while utilizing advanced minimally invasive procedures to improve patient outcomes.
The physician will evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions in a collaborative outpatient environment focused on quality care, patient education, and reducing reliance on opioid-based treatments.
Job Responsibilities
Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine
Perform advanced interventional pain procedures including:
Epidural steroid injections
Facet joint injections
Medial branch blocks
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
Sacroiliac joint injections
Peripheral nerve blocks
Spinal cord stimulator trials and implants
Manage medications according to applicable guidelines
Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare providers
Educate patients regarding treatment options and expectations
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Fellowship training in Pain Medicine
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine
Active or eligible Texas medical license
Active DEA registration
Strong procedural skills in fluoroscopy-guided interventions
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Preferred:
Previous outpatient interventional pain experience
Background in Anesthesiology, PM&R, or Neurology
Experience building physician referral relationships
Experience with outpatient EMR systems
