PM&R Medical Director – Inpatient Rehabilitation Leadership Opportunity
A premier inpatient rehabilitation organization is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician to serve as Medical Director of a growing rehabilitation program in South Carolina.

Job Responsibilities
The physician will:
• Perform inpatient rehabilitation evaluations and admissions
• Manage daily patient rounds and treatment plans
• Provide medical management for complex rehabilitation patients
• Collaborate with therapy teams and consulting specialists
• Participate in interdisciplinary rehabilitation conferences
• Manage conditions including stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, and neurological disorders
• Maintain high-quality clinical documentation
Medical Director Responsibilities:
The Medical Director will:
• Provide physician leadership for rehabilitation services
• Partner with hospital leadership on clinical initiatives
• Support quality improvement and patient safety programs
• Guide compliance with CMS and rehabilitation standards
• Mentor physicians and clinical team members
• Assist with physician recruitment and program development
Qualifications
• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Completion of accredited PM&R residency program
• Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure
• Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred:
• Previous Medical Director or physician leadership experience
• Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) experience
• Experience leading interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams
• Knowledge of CMS, IRF standards, and quality metrics
• Experience with EMG/NCS, injections, or spasticity management
