Physician – Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EMG/NCS)

Position Overview

With numerous clinic locations throughout California, we can accommodate a location close to your home or current practice. We also offer the flexibility to see patients from your own office, allowing you to integrate electrodiagnostic services seamlessly into your existing practice while we provide scheduling, authorization, administrative, billing, and operational support.

Seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused physician to join our growing electrodiagnostic medicine practice. This position is dedicated to performing electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) for patients referred by orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, pain management physicians, primary care providers, occupational medicine physicians, and Qualified Medical Evaluators (QMEs).

The ideal candidate is committed to providing accurate, evidence-based electrodiagnostic evaluations that assist referring providers in diagnosing neuromuscular conditions and developing effective treatment plans. Physicians practice in a collaborative, referral-based environment including administrative support, allowing them to focus on interpretation, patient evaluation, and needle EMG examinations.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive electrodiagnostic evaluations, including physician-performed needle EMG examinations and interpretation of nerve conduction studies.

• Interpret electrodiagnostic findings and prepare timely, detailed, and clinically meaningful reports.

• Correlate electrodiagnostic findings with patient history, physical examination, and referring provider documentation.

• Maintain accurate, complete, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record.

• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy.

• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, Workers' Compensation, and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Foster strong professional relationships with referring providers and referral sources through excellent communication and reliable turnaround times.

Qualifications Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of an accredited residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) or Neurology.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active and unrestricted California Medical License.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or Neurology.

• Current DEA registration.

• Current BLS certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experience performing independent EMG and nerve conduction studies in an outpatient setting.

• Experience evaluating patients with work-related injuries, orthopedic conditions, peripheral neuropathies, radiculopathies, plexopathies, entrapment neuropathies, and neuromuscular disorders.

• Familiarity with California Workers' Compensation cases and QME referrals is preferred but not required.

• Excellent report-writing skills with the ability to produce concise, accurate, and clinically actionable interpretations.

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in electrodiagnostic evaluation of peripheral nerve and muscle disorders.

• Strong clinical examination and diagnostic reasoning skills.

• Ability to interpret electrodiagnostic findings within the context of the patient's overall clinical presentation.

• Excellent communication skills with patients, referring providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Transparent Physician Compensation

• 60% Physician / 40% Company revenue split

• Compensation is based on collected professional revenue generated from the physician's electrodiagnostic services.

• Please note is contracted 1099 opportunity and revenue is based on your volume and dedicated clinic days.
