Job description
We are seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, California. This is a weekday inpatient acute care rehab coverage opportunity in a hospital inpatient setting. Please see below for more information.
- Hospital inpatient – acute care rehab units
- Epic EMR
- Consult services available on site (neurology, orthopedics, pain, internal medicine)
Job Responsibilities
Manage a census of approximately 13-15 patients per day
Care for a patient population including injury, stroke, orthopedic, general rehab, and pain management cases
Perform general PM&R procedures, including joint injections and spasticity management with Botox and intrathecal baclofen pumps
Coordinate with internal and general medicine providers for acute medical issues
Note: EMG/NCS not required; general PM&R, not subspecialty-focused
Qualifications
Active California medical license
DEA registration (Schedule 2/2N)
AHA BLS certification
Working Hours
Night beeper call after shift
Occasional weekend coverage may be required
