Physiatry / Pain Management Physician (MD) – Part-Time
Queens, NY | Post-Acute Care

Schedule: Part-Time | Flexible daytime schedule | No Nights or Weekends
Compensation: $280,000 – $300,000 annually, based on experience

About the Role

Medley Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physician (MD) to join our growing post-acute care team in Queens, NY. This Part-time role provides on-site physiatry and pain management services across skilled nursing and rehabilitation settings. The physician will work independently while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to help patients regain function, improve mobility, and manage pain effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physiatry and rehabilitation evaluations and follow-up visits in skilled nursing and rehabilitation settings

  • Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional limitations common in post-acute populations

  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans focused on:

    • Functional restoration and mobility goals

    • Pain management strategies

    • Coordination with PT, OT, and ST plans of care

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as clinically appropriate

  • Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner

  • Communicate recommendations clearly to facility clinical teams and assist with discharge planning when needed

Qualifications

  • MD required

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) strongly preferred

  • Active New York medical license required

  • Experience in post-acute care, rehabilitation, pain management, musculoskeletal care, or related settings preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently
