We are seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, CA. This is an inpatient acute care rehabilitation opportunity providing weekday coverage with occasional overnight call. Please see below for more information.
Practice setting: Hospital inpatient (acute care rehabilitation units)
EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Perform admissions, discharges, and daily rounding
Manage a patient population including injury, stroke, orthopedic, general rehab, and pain management cases
Carry an approximate census of 13–15 patients per day
Perform bread-and-butter PM&R procedures such as joint injections and spasticity management (Botox, intrathecal baclofen pumps) — preferred
Coordinate with available consult services (neurology, orthopedics, pain, internal medicine)
EMG/NCS not required
Qualifications
Active California medical license
CA DEA
AHA BLS
Working Hours
Occasional overnight call via beeper from home
Scheduled coverage plus on-call required
