Position Overview
NorTek Medical Staffing is partnering with an established and growing multidisciplinary clinic in Sacramento, CA to recruit a Physician specializing in Brain Injury Medicine. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment focused on treating traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and complex neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with traumatic brain injuries

Conduct comprehensive physical exams and patient assessments

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Monitor cognitive, behavioral, and functional progress
-
No chronic opioid prescribing required
Collaboration & Leadership
-
Work closely with PAs, Athletic Trainers, and Medical Assistants
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary specialists and care teams
-
Participate in case reviews, clinical meetings, and quality initiatives
-
Support onboarding and mentorship of clinical staff
Documentation & Compliance
-
Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
-
Ensure compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
Qualifications
-
MD or DO required
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in one of the following:
-
Brain Injury Medicine
-
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
-
Neurology
-
Emergency Medicine
-
-
Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
-
Willingness to obtain Nevada licensure within 90 days
-
Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently

Patient-focused with strong communication skills
Schedule

Monday – Friday

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Full-time (40 hours/week)
Travel Requirements

Travel to regional clinic locations required

1–3 overnight trips per month (CA + NV locations)
Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $300,000 – $350,000

Job Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with traumatic brain injuries
Perform comprehensive physical exams and patient evaluations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Monitor patient progress, including cognitive and functional outcomes
Prescribe and manage appropriate treatments (no chronic opioid prescribing)
Collaboration & Leadership
Supervise and collaborate with PAs, AT-Cs, and MAs
Coordinate care with in-house and external specialists
Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and care planning
Support training, onboarding, and mentorship of clinical staff
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and clinical standards
Professional Development
Participate in CME and ongoing training
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in:
Brain Injury Medicine
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
Neurology
Emergency Medicine
Active, unrestricted California medical license (or ability to obtain)
Willingness to obtain Nevada medical license within 90 days
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
Ability to evaluate and treat patients independently
Willingness to travel to satellite locations (1–3 overnight trips/month)
