A private medical practice is seeking a full-time Physiatrist for their outpatient locations in Brooklyn and Queens, NY
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: 100% outpatient
Responsibilities:
- Examining patients that may need to undergo physical therapy
- Diagnosing pain as a result of an injury, disease, or a disabling condition
- Determining and implementing appropriate treatment plans for patients
- Recommending and performing various medical procedures, such as trigger point injections, soft tissue, and joint injections to treat pain and improve physical functioning
- Leading a team of medical professionals, including physical therapists, in order to optimize patient care
- Monitoring ongoing progress and health of patients, and changing treatment plans, as necessary
- Performing initial evaluations to determine a patient's need and ability to participate in the rehabilitation process
- Conducting periodic re-evaluations of patients to determine progress and for change or discontinuance of treatment
- Performing other duties as requested
Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree
- Active New York Medical License
- Board Certified/Eligible with American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR)
