Western Illinois Pediatric Opening
- Clinical Role:
- Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible (within 5 years of finishing training) pediatrician
- Busy practice – current 2,000 active patients
- 90% outpatient with inpatient responsibilities
- Site sees ~30 patients per day in the clinic
- Hospital averages 100 admissions per years, totaling about 400 patient days
- ~550 births per year
- Pediatricians share newborn responsibilities with Family Medicine
- Level II Nursery
- Join two other pediatricians
- Will perform circumcisions
- Call is 1:3 - you may be called in to address emergent situations with the neonatal provider, get the patient prepared for a transfer to the NICU - it is possibly ED call coverage, too
- Pediatricians are not called for routine c-sections – only higher risk deliveries
- RN and MA support
