Opportunity

We are seeking a Pediatrician for an outpatient locum tenens assignment in Tulare, CA. Provide comprehensive primary care to infants, children, and adolescents in a community health setting, working alongside a multidisciplinary team serving a diverse patient population.

Schedule and assignment

• Anticipated assignment of four months, with the possibility of extension.
• Full-time options include five 8-hour days or four 9-hour days, with one evening shift weekly and one Saturday monthly. Additional coverage may be requested.
• Typical volume: 22–24 patients per 8-hour day or 25–27 per 9-hour day.

Responsibilities

• Perform well-child visits, age-appropriate screenings, immunization reviews, and acute and chronic pediatric care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, develop treatment plans, and coordinate referrals and follow-up care within the provider’s scope of practice.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support coordinated, patient-centered care and patient and family education.
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records. Use eClinicalWorks.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active California medical license and DEA registration.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; commitment to caring for diverse and underserved communities.

This Tulare pediatric opening may be filled by a qualified NP, PA, or Pediatrician.
