Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatrician to join a patient-centered pediatric practice in Clarksburg, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician passionate about providing high-quality primary and preventive care to infants, children, and adolescents in a collaborative, family-focused clinical environment.
The ideal candidate will be committed to evidence-based medicine, preventive healthcare, childhood development, and building lasting relationships with patients and their families.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct routine well-child examinations, sick visits, developmental assessments, and age-appropriate screenings.
Diagnose and manage common childhood illnesses, acute conditions, and chronic diseases.
Monitor growth, development, and developmental milestones.
Perform newborn assessments and provide newborn care.
Administer age-appropriate immunizations and provide preventive health guidance.
Educate parents and caregivers on nutrition, wellness, immunizations, and child development.
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and develop individualized treatment plans.
Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient safety standards.
Qualifications
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatrics residency.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics.
Active, unrestricted Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
Strong knowledge of pediatric primary care, preventive medicine, growth, and development.
Experience or residency training in neonatology, including newborn assessment and care.
Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and patient education skills.
Commitment to compassionate, inclusive, family-centered care.
Ability to work effectively in a busy, collaborative clinical environment.
