Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Pediatrics residency Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics Unrestricted Louisiana medical license, or eligibility, and valid DEA registration Current NRP and CPR certifications encouraged Position Details Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to join the practice. Full-time, permanent position with a well-established, physician-led private practice Three office locations in Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Moss Bluff; physicians may rotate or be based primarily at one site 4.5-day workweek; clinic hours generally Monday through Friday with shared, rotating weekend clinic coverage Call shared equally among the providers Inpatient responsibilities limited to well-baby newborn rounding; no NICU coverage and no delivery attendance Large team of pediatricians and advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs) In-house laboratory, X-ray, and pharmacy services Open to experienced pediatricians and graduating residents Provide comprehensive pediatric care from newborns through adolescence Conduct well-child exams, developmental screenings, and immunizations Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic pediatric conditions, and minor injuries Manage inpatient newborn nursery rounding on a rotating basis Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records Collaborate with the multi-provider team and local specialists for continuity of care
