This well-established health system is a leading provider of pediatric care in the region, featuring a 16-bed department with comprehensive support services available 24 hours a day, including anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, radiology, and more. The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma and pediatric center, offering a collaborative and well-resourced environment for locum providers.Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Hospitalist - PediatricsJob Details:
- Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist services with an average daily census of approximately 11 patients across Pediatrics and the Nursery
- Typical volume of 1-3 admissions per shift
- Schedule runs 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overnight call and callback as needed when the physician must report to the facility to provide direct patient care
- An APRN/PA provides primary evening call coverage
- Preferred availability of one 7-10 day stretch per month; priority given to candidates who can accommodate this schedule
- Minimum of two years of Pediatric Hospitalist experience required; new graduates will not be considered
- Must hold an active North Dakota medical license
- Board certification required with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Must meet credentialing and privileging threshold criteria; estimated credentialing timeframe is 45-120 days
- Required pediatric procedures include inpatient care and pediatric intubation
