AMN Healthcare is partnering with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition to recruit a faculty physician focused on pediatric hepatology and liver transplantation. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly collaborative academic division and established Pediatric Liver Transplant team while helping expand specialty services for children across Alabama and beyond. Candidates pursuing careers as physician-scientists or clinician educators will receive equal consideration. The successful candidate will have opportunities to contribute to clinical care, research, quality improvement, medical education, community outreach, leadership, and program development within the supportive academic environment of the UAB system.

Opportunity Highlights

• Join an established Pediatric Liver Transplant team providing multidisciplinary care for children with complex liver disease and transplant needs.
• Collaborate with pediatric gastroenterologists with a focus in transplant hepatology, transplant surgeons, coordinators, pharmacists, nutritionists, social workers, child life specialists, and psychologists.
• Practice within a division that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver, and nutritional conditions.
• Pursue an academic pathway aligned with your interests as a physician-scientist or clinician educator.
• Build an academic portfolio through clinical, translational, or basic research, quality improvement, medical education, advocacy, community outreach, and leadership.
• Join a collegial and nurturing division supported by 17 faculty members, six fellows, eight nurse practitioners, and dedicated clinical and administrative staff.
