A well-established, physician-led pediatric practice in Southwest Louisiana is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician to join its growing team. The Opportunity
- Position: Full-Time, Permanent Pediatrician
- Locations: Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Moss Bluff, LA
- Schedule: 4.5-day workweek
- Weekend Coverage: Shared, rotating weekend clinic coverage
- Call: Shared equally among providers
- Practice: Established team of 7 physicians and 4 NPs
- Clinical Setting: Primarily outpatient pediatric care
- Newborn Coverage: Rotating well-baby nursery rounding only
- No NICU coverage or delivery attendance required
- Facilities: In-house laboratory, X-ray, and pharmacy services
Job Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive pediatric care from newborns through adolescence
• Perform well-child examinations, developmental screenings, and immunizations
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic pediatric conditions, and minor injuries
• Provide routine newborn nursery rounding on a rotating basis
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Collaborate with pediatricians, advanced practice providers, and specialists to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Louisiana medical license
• Valid DEA registration
• Current NRP and CPR certifications encouraged
• Open to experienced Pediatricians and graduating residents
