Seeking a dedicated Pediatrician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services in Fredericksburg, Texas. The physician will work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to manage an outpatient patient panel, deliver preventive and acute medical care, provide clinical leadership, and support community health initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct pediatric medical care, including wellness visits, preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct routine physical examinations and developmental assessments for infants, children, and adolescents.
• Review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results in a timely manner.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in emergency on-call coverage when required by affiliated hospitals.
• Supervise and collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and other support staff.
• Mentor medical students and support clinical education initiatives.
• Partner with the Medical Director to maintain quality improvement programs and PCMH standards.
• Educate patients and families on preventive healthcare, nutrition, immunizations, and disease management.
• Participate in community outreach programs and health promotion activities.
• Maintain accurate and complete Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, clinical guidelines, and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted Texas Medical Board physician license.
• Current DEA and DPS registrations for practice in Texas.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Professionals certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges at designated hospitals as required.
• Strong knowledge of the Texas Medical Practice Act and pediatric clinical protocols.
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and documentation standards.
• One or more years of pediatric clinical practice experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish language skills (spoken and written) preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-Time position.
• Approximately 40 hours per week.
• Additional on-call coverage may be required based on clinic and hospital needs.
