Job description

Job description We are seeking a dedicated Staff Pediatrician (MD/DO) to provide high quality primary medical care in an outpatient, patient centered medical home setting in Fredericksburg, TX. The physician will manage a pediatric patient panel, provide clinical oversight, support quality improvement initiatives & participate in community health programs.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct pediatric clinical care
• Perform routine well child checkups & preventive care
• Diagnose & manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
• Manage approximately 4,200 annual patient encounters
• Review laboratory & imaging results promptly
• Coordinate specialty referrals & follow up care
• Participate in scheduled emergency on call coverage when required
• Supervise clinical support staff
• Mentor medical students
• Collaborate with the Medical Director on quality improvement & PCMH standards
• Educate patients & families on preventive care, disease management & healthy lifestyles
• Participate in community health promotion initiatives

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license
• Current Texas DEA & DPS certificates
• Active CPR certification for Healthcare Professionals
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges at designated area hospitals, if required
• Knowledge of the Texas Medical Practice Act & pediatric clinical protocols
• Strong EHR documentation skills
• 1+ year of direct pediatric practice experience preferred
• Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred

Working Hours

• Full Time
• 40 hours per week
• Outpatient clinic setting
• Scheduled emergency on call coverage may be required
