- Seeking a qualified MD/DO Pediatric Hospitalist to provide 24-hour pediatric and newborn coverage.
• Coverage is primarily for deliveries, newborn admissions, and inpatient pediatric care.
• Average of 6–7 births per month with anticipated callback approximately 1–2 nights per week.
• Tele-neonatology support is available.
• Provider must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital while on call.
• Opportunity is ideal for physicians seeking flexible block-based locum coverage.
Job Responsibilities
• Attend deliveries and manage newborn admissions.
• Respond to pediatric and neonatal clinical needs.
• Perform patient evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Provide appropriate admissions and inpatient management.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation when required.
• Coordinate care with nursing and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC.
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine.
• Active Oregon medical license preferred/required for an October start.
• NRP certification required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Must be able to demonstrate recent pediatric/inpatient clinical activity or provide applicable residency/training documentation.
Working Hours
• Coverage needed 14–21 days per month.
• Provider must remain within 30 minutes of the hospital during call.
