Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and examinations for infants, children, and adolescents.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions, including minor injuries, infections, and developmental concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and current medical standards.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Participate in community outreach programs and health education initiatives as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatrics through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid State of New York medical license and board certification in Pediatrics.
- Minimum of 3 years of pediatric clinical experience.
- Strong clinical skills with a focus on family-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Additional certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) are preferred.
- Commitment to providing equitable, culturally sensitive care.
- Willingness to participate in community outreach and occasional after-hours coverage.
