Pediatrician - Competitive compensation in Imperial Beach, CA

Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive well-child examinations, preventive care, and developmental screenings for patients from birth through age 21.
Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and common pediatric conditions, including respiratory infections, asthma, allergies, dermatologic disorders, gastrointestinal illnesses, and behavioral health concerns.
Administer immunizations in accordance with CDC and California pediatric immunization guidelines.
Perform age-appropriate developmental, behavioral, autism, depression, and mental health screenings.
Manage chronic pediatric conditions such as asthma, obesity, ADHD, developmental delays, and other ongoing health concerns.
Conduct school, sports, and other required physical examinations.
Coordinate care for newborns and infants transitioning from local hospitals into outpatient care.
Collaborate closely with behavioral health providers, dental providers, nurses, care coordinators, specialists, and community partners to ensure coordinated, family-centered care.
Educate patients and families on child development, nutrition, disease prevention, safety, immunizations, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support organizational performance goals.
Attend provider meetings, care team huddles, and continuing education activities.
Perform other clinical duties as assigned.

Clinical Schedule:
Approximately 36 hours of direct patient care per week.
Approximately 4 hours of protected administrative time each week for:
Documentation and chart completion
Care coordination
Patient communications
Quality improvement activities
Administrative responsibilities

Typical Patient Visits:
Well-child examinations
Same-day sick visits
Chronic disease follow-up appointments
Developmental and behavioral health evaluations
Transitional care visits
Preventive care and immunizations
Patient scheduling is designed to support productivity while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care.

Team-Based Care & Quality Improvement:
As a member of Client's Patient-Centered Medical Home, you will:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on preventive care, immunizations, developmental screenings, and chronic disease management.
Support organizational goals related to HEDIS, UDS, value-based care, and patient satisfaction.
Collaborate with Family Medicine, Behavioral Health, Dental, Care Management, and Specialty Care providers.
Contribute to interdisciplinary care planning and population health initiatives.
