New Mexico rural Pediatric opening
Position Overview
- Full-time BE/BC Pediatrician
- Employed by Hospital system
- Mix of outpatient pediatrics with newborn nursery coverage
- No high-acuity inpatient pediatrics (hospital does not run a dedicated pediatric inpatient unit)
- Level I–II nursery; higher acuity transfers go Albuquerque, NM or Lubbock, TX
- J-1 or H1-B cap exempt sponsorship availabe
Clinical Structure
- Outpatient clinic located adjacent to facility
- Newborn rounding shared with family medicine
- Call: typically, low volume; shared rotation
- Patient population: high Medicaid mix, strong community need for pediatric access
Compensation & Benefits (systemwide norms)
- Base salary is negotiable: usually $250k–$300k range depending on experience
- Sign-on bonus: commonly $20k–$40k
- Relocation: provided
- Quality incentives: annual
- Occurrence malpractice (no tail needed)
- 403(b) with employer match, CME funds, medical/dental/vision
- NHSC/PSLF eligible (area qualifies as a shortage area)
