Position Overview
We are seeking a Full-Time Pediatrician to join our dedicated healthcare team in Othello, WA. This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse pediatric population, delivering comprehensive care ranging from primary, acute, and chronic care to emergency medical interventions. Schedule
- Outpatient Hours: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- Call Coverage: Shared call schedule (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Location: In-person, outpatient clinic and hospital coverage
Job Responsibilities
Clinical Care:
Provide primary, acute, chronic, and emergency care to children, adolescents, and young adults.
Perform physical examinations, developmental assessments, and diagnostic evaluations.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and ensure ongoing continuity of care.
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with medical and regulatory standards.
Hospital & Call Duties:
Hospital Privileges: Maintain active hospital privileges.
Inpatient Coverage: Provide inpatient pediatric care, including participation in the call rotation (weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
Continuity of Care: Work closely with medical staff to ensure continuity of care across both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Professional Expectations:
Engage in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement activities.
Participate in required meetings, and continuing medical education (CME) events.
Collaborate effectively with leadership, nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary teams on clinical and administrative matters.
Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and organization policies.
Patient Interaction & Communication:
Build strong relationships with patients and their families, delivering culturally sensitive care.
Educate patients and caregivers on preventive health, treatment plans, and medications.
Foster open communication with clinical staff, support teams, and leadership.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Successful completion of an accredited pediatric residency program.
Board Certification in Pediatrics.
Active or eligible Washington State medical license.
Strong clinical knowledge in pediatrics and patient-care skills.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Experience in outpatient pediatrics or rural healthcare settings preferred.
Working Hours
Salary: $230,829 – $300,077 per year (DOE)
