We are seeking a Pediatrician for a unique locum tenens opportunity in beautiful Randolph, Vermont. This is an excellent call-only position with low patient volume and no clinic responsibilities, offering an ideal work-life balance.
📍 Assignment Details:
- Dates: June 19, 2026 – October 19, 2026
- Location: Randolph, Vermont
- License Required: Active Vermont license
Schedule:
- Primary Coverage: Thursdays, 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- Weekend Rotation: 1 in 4 weekends (starting Thursday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM)
- Call Only – No clinic or office hours
- 30-minute callback requirement
Job Responsibilities
Newborn nursery coverage
Pediatric consults in the Emergency Department
Inpatient pediatrics (patients under 18)
Pager response for patient and staff calls
🩺 Responsibilities:
Routine newborn care in the nursery
Participation in high-risk deliveries, including neonatal resuscitation
Management of newborn conditions (jaundice, feeding issues, hypoglycemia)
Stabilization for NICU transfers
Support for pediatric emergencies in the ED
Participation in pediatric codes
Qualifications
Overnight Calls: 0–5 per shift (very manageable)
Admissions: ~1–2 annually per provider
Facility Volume: ~200+ deliveries per year

Postpartum and breastfeeding questions
Pediatric symptoms (fever, vomiting, diarrhea, rash)
