We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate pediatrician to deliver exceptional care and serve as a clinical leader.

SUMMARY

You will be the cornerstone of patient care, providing quality, full-spectrum primary care services that address the complex health and social needs of our patient population. As an essential member of our team, you are expected to participate in organizational emergency preparedness and response efforts, following all established policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Clinical Excellence & Patient Advocacy
  • Perform complete medical examinations across the lifespan, including infants, children, and adolescents, based on your specialty.
  • Expertly assess and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, actively contributing to our disease registry programs.
  • Proactively screen patients for comprehensive health maintenance needs, including essential immunizations.
  • Empower patients and families through education on health promotion, disease prevention, and appropriate birth control methods.
  • Initiate necessary diagnostic studies and ensure prompt referral of abnormal or concerning results to the Medical Director or specialists.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient histories and records, developing thorough patient care charts.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, environmental, and infection control methods in your daily practice.
  • Coordinate the efficient movement of patients through the care system and monitor the status of all referrals.
  • Share in a rotating on-call schedule with other providers and maintain required hospital privileges designated by the organization.
2. Leadership & Mentorship
  • Provide daily supervision and mentorship to Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs), including co-signing their charts.
  • Offer expert consultative support, including differential diagnosis, to mid-level Providers, the triage nurse, and other Physicians.
  • Actively participate in the proctoring of new hires and newly graduated providers joining our team.
3. Quality Improvement & Administration
  • Contribute to organizational excellence through participation in Quality Assurance, peer review, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Engage in quality improvement and process improvement programs, including system-wide and cluster-specific initiatives and chart audits.
  • Conduct trainings on critical procedures, risk management, and emergency care protocols.
  • Collaborate with marketing and health education staff on community outreach, patient recruitment, and health fairs.
  • Participate in administrative tasks and cluster-specific meetings as assigned by the Medical Director or cluster lead Clinicians.
  • Ensure accurate recording of no-show visits, lab results, and medication refills.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current and unrestricted licensure to practice as a Medical Doctor (MD) in the state of New York.
  • Board Certification.
  • Active CPR certification.
  • Proven knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment within your area of expertise.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience practicing in a primary care clinic setting.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States.
  • Possession of a valid State Driver's license with a clean record and access to an insured automobile.
