A respected healthcare system is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Pediatrician to join a unique combined Acute Care Pediatric model, where physicians provide both Emergency Department and Inpatient care in a single, fully integrated setting. This role offers a dynamic clinical environment, teaching opportunities, and an exceptional coastal lifestyle.
Position Highlights
• Employed, full-time position
• Combined Pediatric Emergency + Inpatient care model
• 24/7 physician coverage in a single pediatric-focused location
• Integrated care model with strong continuity between ED and inpatient services
• Teaching opportunities with Family Medicine residents
• EPIC EMR system with physician governance input
Clinical Responsibilities
• Provide pediatric emergency and inpatient care
• Evaluate and manage acute pediatric conditions
• Participate in inpatient rounding and emergency care coverage
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Support and teach Family Medicine residents
• Coordinate transfers with tertiary pediatric centers when needed
Practice Environment
• Unified pediatric care model improving continuity and outcomes
• Strong relationships with tertiary pediatric hospitals for transfers and consults
• Physician-led governance structure allowing input into operations and strategy
• Safety-net hospital mission serving a diverse patient population
Qualifications
• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Eligible for Florida medical licensure
• Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident
