Join a leading healthcare team as a Locum Anesthesiologist, providing essential coverage at a renowned Level I Trauma Center. This opportunity offers a unique chance to contribute to patient care in a dynamic hospital setting while enjoying competitive compensation and excellent support. Whether you're seeking a temporary position or looking to broaden your professional experience, this role is an ideal fit for dedicated anesthesiologists committed to excellence.
In this position, you'll deliver anesthesia services across a diverse patient demographic, from neonatal to adult, supporting a busy surgical environment that averages 50-60 cases daily. You will supervise CRNAs within a collaborative care team, working in hospital-based operating rooms that support a broad range of specialties. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with no call responsibilities, allowing for a balanced work-life experience. The facility features 14 operating rooms, a team of 22 anesthesiologists, and handles an annual ER volume of 70,000 patients.
Required skills for this role include strong proficiency in pediatric and adult anesthesia management, excellent communication abilities, and experience supervising CRNAs in a team model. Candidates must hold valid anesthesia licensure, DEA, and certification credentials, and be prepared to undergo immediate credentialing processes, including fingerprinting.
Nice to have skills include experience in trauma centers, familiarity with pediatric anesthesia, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred educational background includes an MD or DO with board certification in Anesthesiology and previous hospital-based practice experience.
Additional requirements include being scheduled and credentialed promptly, providing necessary documentation such as current licenses, certifications, and background information. The role involves travel and licensure reimbursements, with the facility covering mileage at IRS rates, rental cars, hotels, and flights as needed.
Candidates who are proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a resilient healthcare environment are encouraged to apply. Take the next step in your anesthesia career—submit your application today and become an integral part of a supportive and professional team!
