Join Our Team as a Locum Pediatric Anesthesiologist in Dayton, OH!
Are you a dedicated anesthesiologist seeking a rewarding temporary opportunity to impact pediatric patient care? Dayton Children's Hospital invites qualified physicians to join our esteemed team for a rewarding locum assignment. This pivotal role supports our mission to provide excellent anesthesia care across diverse patient populations in a dynamic hospital setting.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide anesthesiology coverage in a hospital-based operating room environment from August 10 to November 16, 2026.
- Manage a varied caseload averaging 50-60 surgical cases daily, from neonatal to adult patients.
- Supervise CRNAs, practicing both independently and within a team care model.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising RNs, surgical techs, APPs, and surgeons at an ACS Level 1 Trauma Center with 14 ORs.
- Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced, collegial environment.
Required Skills:
- Active medical license in Ohio and current DEA certification.
- Board-certified or eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Proven experience in pediatric anesthesiology and supervising CRNAs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a high-volume surgical setting.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in trauma center environments.
- Additional certifications in pediatric anesthesia or critical care.
- Bilingual abilities serving diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency and fellowship in anesthesiology with a focus on pediatric care.
- At least 2 years of relevant anesthesiology experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
Other Requirements:
- Immediate completion of credentialing, including fingerprinting and submission of necessary documentation (DOB, SSN, certifications, CAQH login, licensing details).
- Reimbursements include mileage, travel, lodging, and rental car, following facility policies.
- Willingness to adapt to facility protocols and participate in pre-assignment credentialing processes.
