Job description
The Pediatric Dentist provides comprehensive oral health care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special health care needs. This role involves preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of dental conditions while ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for young patients and their families.
Job Responsibilities
Provide preventive dental services, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and patient education.
Perform restorative and surgical procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, and space maintenance.
Develop individualized treatment plans with a focus on growth and development.
Manage dental emergencies in children promptly and effectively.
Educate patients and parents/guardians on proper oral hygiene practices, diet, and preventive care.
Utilize behavior management techniques to reduce patient anxiety and ensure cooperation.
Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other team members to deliver quality patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and adhere to all dental regulations and safety standards.
Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications
Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program.
Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Dentistry (preferred).
Active state dental license and DEA certification.
Strong communication skills with children, parents, and staff.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with ability to work with children of all ages and developmental stages.
