Annual Salary: $130k – $165k (varies depending on years of experience)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) Supervisor to lead our client’s school-based health team. In this supervisory role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to students, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a culture of excellence in care. A valid Medicare/Medicaid credential is required to ensure access to care for underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school-based health team, including Nurse Practitioners and support staff.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
  • Support staff in conducting comprehensive health assessments, diagnosing, and managing student health conditions.
  • Act as a clinical resource for complex cases and provide second opinions when needed.
  • Monitor the quality of care provided, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Develop and implement health programs to meet the needs of the student population, including preventive care and health education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, and community partners to enhance the school’s health services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to coordinate care and address student needs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Prepare and review reports on service delivery, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and maintain Medicare/Medicaid billing practices to ensure adherence to guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in NY.
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
  • Medicare/Medicaid credentialing required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience in school-based health settings or pediatric care preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, including team-building and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with staff, students, and families.
