A community health center in Virginia is currently seeking a licensed Pediatrician to join their growing team at one of their facilities. Under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the Pediatrician will be responsible for providing primary care to pediatric patients.
About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Contract to Hire
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 5pm
• EMR: eClinicalWorks

Responsibilities:

The Pediatrician will:

• Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for pediatric patients.
• Obtain and document appropriate chief complaint, past medical, family and social history, review of systems, examination, medications and allergies, assessment and plan for each patient within the electronic medical record.
• Provide medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals within electronic medical record as per policy.
• Review ancillary test results and coordinate notification to the patient as per policy.
• Educate parents of pediatric patients in disease management and prevention.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Medicine
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• CPR certification
• Current DEA certification
• Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct parent of pediatric patients in correct usage.
