A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Pediatrician to join one of their Article 29-I clinics in the Bronx and help oversee and provide essential healthcare services to children who are in foster care.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: 2 to 3 days per week on site (Mondays & Thursdays are mandatory + additional day of choice
• Hours: 9am to 5pm
• Setting: Article 29 clinic

Responsibilities:

The Pediatrician will:

• Diagnose and treat common childhood ailments and minor injuries
• Recommend patients for further treatments and refer them to specialists, when necessary
• Focus on preventive measures, including vaccination recommendations
• Record and maintain health and development information for their patients
• Oversee assigned caseload and collaborate with other providers/clinical staff regarding patient care
• Actively participate in team meetings with the Case Planning team
• Effectively communicate with child & case planning team
• Promptly address clinical needs of patient to prevent hospitalizations
• Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related work experience
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
• Board Eligible / Certified
• Active DEA registration
• PALS certification
• Active DEA registration
