St. Luke's Children's Hospital is currently seeking a full-time pediatric ophthalmologist. This team currently consists of 2 pediatric ophthalmologists and 1 optometrist and specializes in the care of diseases and conditions of the eyes in infants, children, and adolescents, including strabismus, amblyopia, eye misalignment, cataracts, nasolacrimal duct obstruction, nystagmus, and retinopathy of prematurity. The team also cares for adults with strabismus. The team participates in clinical research through the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group. As Idaho’s only Children’s hospital, St. Luke’s supports a vast geographic referral network that includes Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Northern Nevada. St. Luke’s Children’s has a “hospital within a hospital” structure, within St. Luke’s Regional Medical center, a 388 bed tertiary care hospital located in Boise, Idaho. St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital has a full complement of pediatric subspecialists (except CT Surgery).
