There is a full-time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to join a growing dynamic team in a dedicated 20-bed pediatric emergency department in Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • Seeking a Pediatrician with hospital experience or a Pediatric ER Fellowship-Trained Physician.
  • This position will only cover the Pediatric ER. There is a Pediatric Hospitalist team who covers the peds floor and are Pediatric Intensivists who cover the PICU. The team includes pediatric emergency medicine physicians, pediatricians, physician assistants, scribes, and pediatric social workers.
  • A full-time position is twelve 12-hour shifts per month/1728 hours annually. The shifts are a combination of days and nights and are spread throughout the month.
  • Sunrise Children's Hospital is a tertiary-care children's facility and recently opened a new state-of-the-art pediatric ER.
  • Number of patients per provider vary from day to day. The ER sees about 55K visits annually.
  • Excellent subspecialty coverage including Neurosurgery, amongst the usual.
  • Peds surgeons are responsive and progressive.
  • Child life and peds social work have a strong ER presence.
  • Full scribe coverage.
  • Responsibilities will include rapid medical examinations in triage with low and moderate acuity patients in the pediatric fast track area and in the main pediatric emergency department.
