We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Pediatric Locum to join our healthcare facility in Lebanon, MO. As a Pediatric Locum, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to pediatric patients. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $190 and follows a 2-week-on, 1-week-off schedule, starting from October 23, with an ongoing assignment.
Responsibilities:
1. Clinic and Call Assignments: You will be responsible for scheduled clinic appointments and on-call duties.
2. Non-Invasive Ventilation (Neo-puff) and Vent Management: Proficiency in non-invasive ventilation techniques and ventilator management is required to assist patients effectively.
3. Acute Care and Intubation: Ability to handle acute care situations, including intubation procedures.
4. Patient Care: You will be caring for 1 to 5 pediatric patients per shift, ensuring their well-being and providing necessary medical attention.
5. Call Coverage: You will be required to provide call coverage from 7:00 AM on Friday to 7:00 AM on Monday, once per month.
6. Dates of Coverage: The locum assignment begins as soon as credentialed and extends until January 31, 2024, with a requirement of 21 days per month of clinic and on-call coverage.
7. Flexible Work Structure: The locum position can be structured in a way that suits the provider, with the option to work 1 or 2 weeks straight with a break before resuming call/clinic duties for the 3rd week. If there are two locums, they will share the responsibilities, allowing each to work a portion of the 21 days.
8. Duties: Your duties will include rounding on newborns, performing circumcisions, handling phone calls from the Emergency Department, providing ED consultations, occasionally stabilizing and transferring high-acuity patients, and delivering care to pediatric patients in the primary clinic.
