Hello,
We are seeking a qualified Locum Tenens Pediatric Surgery Physician for an opportunity in Springfield, Oregon.
This assignment offers a combination of 24-hour call coverage and clinic responsibilities.
Position Highlights
- Specialty: Pediatric Surgery
- Location: Springfield, Oregon
- Coverage: 24-hour call, typically 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Clinic: 4 hours during the call week
- Typical Clinic Hours: 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
- 1 week per month Rotation Mon-Sun
- Patient Volume: Approximately 1–5 patients per day
- Required: Oregon License, BLS, ACLS
Clinical Responsibilities
The physician will evaluate and treat a broad range of pediatric surgical conditions, including:
- General pediatric surgical conditions
- Neonatal and congenital conditions
- Gastrointestinal conditions
- Soft tissue and skin lesions
- Pediatric trauma and emergency surgical needs
Additional responsibilities include
- Providing outpatient consultations and inpatient care.
- Performing urgent and elective pediatric surgical procedures.
- Participating in elective operating room cases during the call week.
- Providing patient rounding, admissions, and ongoing surgical management.
