Description
Noor Locums is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Surgeon for an urgent locum tenens opportunity in Springfield, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity for a surgeon who can provide comprehensive pediatric surgical care and commit to flexible, weeklong coverage blocks.
The assignment includes 24-hour call coverage, with opportunities for clinic and elective OR work during scheduled coverage weeks.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
Perform general pediatric, neonatal, congenital, gastrointestinal, soft tissue, and emergency surgical procedures.
Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and surgical care.
Manage rounding and patient admissions.
Participate in elective OR and clinic coverage during call weeks, as needed.
Support urgent and emergency pediatric surgical cases.
Qualifications
Active Oregon medical license required at the time of presentation.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as applicable.
Case logs documenting pediatric surgery services representative of the requested privileges within the previous 24 months. Recent graduates may submit training logs.
Ability to commit to weeklong coverage blocks preferred.
Working Hours
Flexible start and end times may be considered.
Weeklong coverage is preferred, typically Monday through Sunday.
Clinic and elective OR coverage may be included during call weeks.
Clinic hours are generally 10 AM–12 PM and 1 PM–3 PM.
Inpatient and outpatient coverage.
Average daily patient volume: 1–5.
