Pediatric Surgeon – Locum Tenens Opportunity | Richmond, VA
We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment with a well-established pediatric surgery practice in Richmond, Virginia.
Coverage Dates
- June 16–19, 2026
- August 10–21, 2026
Practice Details
- Pediatric surgery practice caring for patients from newborns through adolescence
- Clinic coverage Monday–Friday
- Shared inpatient and call responsibilities
- Epic EMR
Schedule
- Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Night Call: Monday–Friday, 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage
Responsibilities
- Outpatient clinic and surgical consultations
- Rounding on admitted patients
- Weekend surgical consults as needed
- Emergency Department consults (approximately 0–2 calls per day)
- Low-volume emergent surgery program
- Average patient volume: 0–4 patients per day
Call Requirements
- 15-minute maximum callback time for emergency consults
- 30-minute maximum response time
Requirements
- Board Certified Pediatric Surgery
- Active BLS Certification
- Active PALS Certification
- Active Virginia license preferred
