We are seeking a Pediatric Radiologist to provide onsite locum coverage at a busy children’s hospital. This opportunity is ideal for fellowship trained pediatric radiologists who enjoy working in a collaborative environment with resident support and a strong pediatric case mix. The facility is looking for physicians who can provide consistent coverage and support pediatric imaging needs across multiple modalities.
Practice Description
This position involves reading a wide range of pediatric imaging studies and supporting a busy inpatient pediatric imaging service. Physicians will work closely with residents and pediatric clinical teams while maintaining high quality diagnostic reporting. The role includes interpreting X-ray, ultrasound, and stat CT/MRI studies, as well as responding onsite for fluoroscopy procedures when required. The hospital is a Pediatric Level 1 facility with strong imaging volumes and uses Cerner as its EMR system.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide timely diagnostic reports for urgent and routine pediatric imaging cases
• Participate in call coverage and respond onsite for fluoroscopy procedures as needed
• Work collaboratively with pediatric clinical teams and support resident education
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to departmental workflow standards
Qualifications
• Pediatric Radiology Fellowship required
• CAQ in Pediatric Radiology or CAQ eligible
• Active Michigan license or IMLC eligibility
• Clean malpractice history required
• Case logs required at time of submission
Working Hours
• Preferred schedule Monday through Sunday, though Thursday through Sunday may be considered
Shift expectations:
Monday – Friday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM onsite coverage with overnight call from 10:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Saturday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM coverage, then call responsibilities overnight
Sunday / Holidays: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM onsite coverage with overnight call
Residents are in house overnight to assist with coverage.
