The Pediatric Section Chief of Radiology provides strategic leadership and oversight for the pediatric imaging division. Ochsner Health is opening a new Children's Hospital in 2027! Looking to add to our Pediatric Section. This role involves managing clinical operations, fostering professional development, promoting academic excellence, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The Section Chief works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to advance pediatric imaging services, research, and education within the institution Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with more than 36,000 employees and over 4,600 employed and affiliated physicians in over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties. It operates 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Gulf South.

Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Administration:
Oversee daily operations of the pediatric radiology section, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management.
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve clinical services, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency across the health system.
Collaborate with the Chair of Radiology and institutional leadership on budgeting, compliance, and policy development.
Serve as a mentor and advocate for faculty, fellows, residents, and technologists within the department.
Clinical Excellence:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered pediatric imaging services across the health system.
Promote adherence to safety protocols and best practices for radiation safety in pediatric patients across the health system.
Participate in clinical service provision, including diagnostic interpretation and interventional procedures where applicable.
Education and Research:
Support and enhance educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows.
Encourage faculty involvement in research and facilitate opportunities for clinical trials and scholarly activity.
Present and publish research findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster a collaborative environment with referring physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care across the health system.
Represent the pediatric radiology section in departmental, institutional, and external meetings.
Maintain open communication with patients and families regarding imaging procedures and results.
