A growing ophthalmology organization in Riverhead, NY is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist to join an established, high-volume surgical practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a comprehensive ophthalmologist or cataract surgeon to step into an active practice with immediate surgical volume, strong referral relationships, and significant earning potential.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a busy outpatient clinic, performing cataract procedures, and providing comprehensive ophthalmic care in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
This position offers access to an ambulatory surgery center (ASC), dedicated support staff, and a pathway toward long-term professional growth and partnership opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
Perform cataract evaluations and surgical procedures
Manage a high-volume outpatient ophthalmology practice
Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose/treat ophthalmic conditions
Participate in clinic and ASC-based surgical care
Collaborate with clinical support staff and other ophthalmology providers
Build and maintain strong relationships with referring providers
Support continued growth of surgical service lines
Qualifications
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Ophthalmology
Completion of accredited Ophthalmology residency program
Eligible for New York medical licensure
Cataract surgery experience required
Comfortable managing a high-volume surgical practice
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in comprehensive ophthalmology
Fellowship training or expertise in:
Cornea
Retina
Glaucoma
Oculoplastics
Premium IOL / refractive surgery experience
Interest in partnership opportunities
