  • Perform and oversee renal replacement therapies such as PD, HD, CRRT, and therapeutic apheresis, collaborating closely with PICU, NICU, and Cardiac ICU teams.
  • Support and help lead the pediatric dialysis unit, including home and in-center modalities, and coordinate care for transplant evaluation and post-transplant transition
  • Inpatient Responsibilities: Provide consultative and co-management support across the children’s hospital (ICUs, surgical subspecialty wards), with access to modern CRRT and apheresis therapies
  • Outpatient Responsibilities: Staff general pediatric nephrology and subspecialty clinics, including the Hypertension and Pediatric Kidney Stone Clinics, while providing longitudinal care for children with CKD and other pediatric nephrology conditions.

  • Teach and mentor trainees within a strong academic environment supported by the School of Medicine, the pediatric residency program, and the Pediatric Nephrology & Hypertension fellowship, including exposure to dialysis, transplant, biopsies, apheresis, and renal pathology.
  • Participate in scholarly activity aligned with division strengths such as clinical research, QI, medical education, kidney injury, CKD progression, hypertension, and glomerular disease.
  • Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health/dental/vision, retirement contributions, relocation assistance, CME time/support, and malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO, Board-Certified in Pediatrics, BC/BE in Pediatric Nephrology, and able to obtain a Tennessee Medical License
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and academic engagement
