A healthcare system in the Bronx is actively seeking a patient-oriented and compassionate pediatric infectious disease physician to join their staff.

About the Opportunity

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Standard business hours; call is very rare and split with the chief
• Setting: Hospital based

Responsibilities:
The Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician will:

• Provide care to an urban underserved, under privileged including minority population.
• Serve as an attending/specialist providing primary care to HIV-infected children, teenagers and young adults.
• Provide consults to all departments and divisions in need of services by a Pediatric Infectious Disease specialist, including but not limited to the following areas.
  • Pediatric in-patient floor
  • Pediatric Emergency Department
  • Pediatric clinics, including satellite clinic
  • Other areas as required
• Assume clinical responsibilities in our Travel Medicine Clinic/Program.
• Participate in all activities as required, including, but not limited to Resident Education, Quality Assurance and Joint Commission activities, among others.

Qualifications:

• Current unrestricted NYS medical license
• Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics and Infectious Disease (MD or DO)
