Neonatal Hospitalist
Job at a glance
Job description
The Division of Neonatology at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware is seeking graduating pediatric residents to join our 46-bed, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as Neonatal Hospitalists.
We offer both one-year and longer-term opportunities, making this an excellent position for graduating residents who want to expand their neonatal experience before the next step in their career. This opportunity may be particularly valuable for physicians considering a Neonatology fellowship who are looking to strengthen their clinical skills and CV while gaining experience in a Level IV NICU.
Neonatal Hospitalists provide direct inpatient care for newborns while working collaboratively with a team of board-certified neonatologists and advanced practice providers. Clinical responsibilities include daytime in-house coverage on weekdays and weekends, with occasional night, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.
The position offers experience within a collaborative academic environment that supports education, quality improvement, research, and professional development. Hospitalists participate in the education of residents, medical students, nursing staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team. Physicians interested in research, informatics, patient safety, quality improvement, education, or leadership are encouraged to pursue these interests with institutional support.
Nemours Children’s Health is committed to delivering exceptional, family-centered care through a multidisciplinary approach. As one of the nation’s leading pediatric health systems, Nemours is dedicated to improving the lives of children through excellence in clinical care, research, education, advocacy, and prevention.
